Japanese-English Bilingual Design Engineer - AM8165

• Develop project master plans for kickoff, including overview and key target KPIs
• Chairs project kickoff meeting for master plan review
• Develop and maintains project timing plans; coordinates regular meetings to confirm that all necessary actions are performed according to designated milestones
• Act as liaison between development and manufacturing locations, and related departments, sharing key information between groups
• Issues and maintains important project engineering information throughout a project, including specification lists, new component lists, etc.
• Report project status to internal upper management and customers throughout the life-cycle of each project
• Provide timely responses to customers with regard to surveys and questions about projects throughout the life-cycle of each project
• Occasional travel to engineering and manufacturing locations, both customers and internally, to support build events
• Prepare project reflection summaries at the conclusion of each project for reporting and tracking purposes to be utilized with future projects
• Support new business competition activity for OEMs, including coordination of competition schedules and activities, resulting in final quote submissions and technical presentations

Qualification requirements: 
• 4-year degree in project management or related engineering discipline
• 1 to 5 years experience within project or engineering management preferred
-- 1 to 3 years: entry level
-- 3 to 5 years: level II
• Experience with automotive wiring harnesses preferred
• Bilingual Japanese-English preferred but not mandatory
• Willing to travel both domestically and internationally
• Ability to communicate overseas during late nights or during non-standard business hours
