FEA Design Engineer - AM8155

Job description: 
• Initiate, modify, analyze, and support automotive seating and interior trim product design analysis and optimization
• Interact with other departments, customers, suppliers, and vendors to facilitate design project requirements
• Support design improvements and problem solving situations
• Create and maintain component design schedules
• Utilize FEA to confirm safety, performance, and regulation compliance
• Create CAE reports per ISO 9001
• Prepare technical reports and presentations
• Support customers with recommendations and optimizations based on simulation results

Qualification requirements: 
• Masters degree in mechanical engineering, or, bachelors degree in mechanical engineering with 2+ years of experience in additional to:
• 1+ year of experience in product design or analysis (experience with LS DYNA, PAM Comfort, Catia V5, Hypermesh, LS PrePost, Matlab preferred)
• Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Good understanding of FEA software capabilities and limitations
• Good understanding of technical drawings, bills of material, DFMEA, FTA, and tolerance stack analysis (GD&T skills preferred)
• Excellent mechanical aptitude (applied physics, statics, dynamics, etc.) and problem-solving skill
• Excellent communication with report writing and annotation skills
