Manufacturing and Installation Support Engineer - AS450



Work location: Nagoya, Japan; travel to systems supplier sites
Job description: 
Expert of manufacturing and quality activities EWIS; will coordinate with contracted suppliers, interface with all other aircraft functions and engineering teams to coordinate and obtain approval of any task assigned contributing to the aircraft system development and certification

Responsibilities: 
• Senior engineer of the EWIS manufacturing support group
• Participate in development and finalization of regional jet T/C design, compliant with all applicable requirements
• Evaluating and improving current aircraft manufacturing processes and methods with respect to compliance to the EWIS-related airworthiness regulations of JCAB, FAA, and EASA
• Support verification and show-compliance activities, such as ground and flight tests, design reviews, inspections, analyses, etc.
• Coordinate activities related to defining first article inspection reports
• Liaison with and coaching quality and inspection departments
• Production readiness reviews (PRRs) at supplier facilities
• Technical focal for EWIS-related manufacturing at supplier locations and final assembly hangar (FAH)
• Coordinating, analyzing, and processing EWIS installation issues for timely closure corresponding with FAH activities
• Analyzing new product introduction (NPI) EWIS requirements for manufacturing
• Creating, verifying, and maintaining all EWIS-related process specifications and instructions (PSPECS) for manufacturing activities and supplier locations
• Technical focal for assembly issues and queries at component level for and suppliers of EWIS parts
• Responsibility for tasks required to perform above activities are considered within work scope; initiating and reviewing related documents, process improvements, interface discussions with team members and other stakeholders including systems, structures, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, customer support, and partners
• Coaching and educating regarding professional knowledge of EWIS manufacturing and production domains
• Interface with suppliers as appropriate
• Assist with estimates planning and scheduling for PMO input
• Provide technical expertise and assist resolving EWIS issues during any rig testing or flight testing, including test production; support various test lab and rig locations
