Avionics Specialist for Display System Development - AS430

Work location: Nagoya, Japan; travel internationally
Job description: 
Develop and finalize regional jet T/C design, compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, production of necessary documentation
• 10+ years experience with commercial or business aircraft
• Proficient with aircraft avionics display systems
• Familiarity with electronic checklist functions and related database update processes, human factors, and display systems of aircraft operations
• Provide engineering oversight and/or disposition of system functionality for production
• Contribute to planning, coordinating, and executing important engineering activities with team members, other groups within company, and suppliers
• Prepare and review necessary documents such as ground and flight test procedures, system level requirements, equipment specifications, electrical interface control documents, wiring diagrams
• Select appropriate methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to resolve complex engineering issues
• Coordinate with the Japanese authority (JCAB) for certification requirements
• Provide specialized technical assistance to team members
• Anticipate and resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways, developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activities
• Able to balance technical activities with cost and scheduling
• Work under limited supervision; should only require review for accuracy and consistency meeting overall objectives
• Meet schedules by resolving problems and mitigating risks
• Coordinate interactions with stakeholders (PMO, SCM, engineering teams)
• Initiating and reviewing related documents and discussions concerning the aircraft, company, and partners

Travel required: Up to five days per week
Qualification requirements: 
• 10+ years experience
• Capable with English communication
• Willing to travel extensively
Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience
