Aeroelasticity Engineer - AS401

Work location: Nagoya, Japan; international travel and deployment for extended periods to U.S.A.
Job description: 
Lead activities of the aircraft aeroelasticity team to support documentation, analyses, and certification of the aircraft; interfacing with all other aircraft functions, engineering teams, partner companies and authorities to coordinate and obtain the approval of any task assigned; ground and flight test-related activities and vibration related activities
• Develop and finalize aircraft T/C design, demonstrating and documenting compliance with all applicable regulations
• All tasks required to perform above activities are considered within work scope: initiating and reviewing related documents, technical calculations, interface discussions with team members and all the other stakeholders, including systems, structures, manufacturing, flight operations, partners, and Part 25 rule authorities
• Ground and flight test-related activities, vibration-related activities
• Transferring knowledge and job skills to Japanese junior engineers as mentor

Qualification requirements: 
• At least 10 years of aeroelasticity experience with OEM; civil aircraft OEM highly preferred
• At least 2 years experience as section leader or equivalent role
• Recent experience with planning, preparing, and analysis of ground and flight tests of aeroelasticity
• Experience in design and certification of aeroelastic stability characteristics for civil aircraft
• Experience with support of flight testing, including TM
• Thorough knowledge of Part 25 rules and guidance materials for certification
• Ability to use and develop analysis tools to support aeroelasticity tasks
• Good teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Good English language skills
• Japanese language skills are an advantage
Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience
