Job description: 
• Initiate, modify, analyze, and support automotive seating and interior trim product design.
• Interact with other departments, customers, suppliers, and vendors to facilitate design project requirements.
• Support design improvement and problem solving situations.
Primary Position responsibilities:
• Create and maintain seat design schedules
• Utilize CATIA V5 to create and check high quality solid, surfacing, large assemblies and wireframe CAD models and technical drawings
• Create and maintain ECN (P/D/N sheets) documentation per ISO 9001
• Prepare technical reports and presentations
• Support customer with manufacturing feasibility
• Verify conformance to all applicable specifications and regulations
Essential skills and experience:
• Proficient at Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
• Proven high proficiency with parametric solid and advanced surface modeling (CATIA V5)
• Proficiency with creation of technical drawings, bill of materials, DFMEA, FTA, and tolerance stack analysis (GD&T skills preferred)
• Excellent mechanical aptitude (applied physics, statics, dynamics, etc.) and problem solving skill
• Excellent communication and report writing/annotation skills

Qualification requirements: 
• B.S. Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 3+ years’ experience in Automotive Seating Design or applicable product design (experience with Catia V5 required; VPM Navigator and Matlab preferred)
• 1+ years’ experience automotive seating design or applicable project lead
• Excellent written/oral communication and organizational skills
Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience
